Tour Description
This two-day immersion features the most iconic sites in Scotland, including the jaw-dropping Glencoe, the wild West Coast, and the Great Glen. We navigate the shadow of Ben Nevis, search for legends at Loch Ness, and explore the "Capital of the Highlands," Inverness. We also take you through the Culloden Battlefield and the ancient standing stones of Clava Cairns before traversing the old whisky smugglers' road through the Cairngorm Mountains.
While these sites are famous for a reason, our private guided tour elevates the magic that surrounds these sites to provide a rich, inciteful and utterly memorable experience that a standard guidebook simply cannot offer. We ensure not a moment is wasted, yet you will never feel rushed as we move through some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK.

Itinerary
DAY 1: On Day one you will be collected from your lodgings at 8.30am for a drive into the West Coast. We pass the mighty Stirling Castle and head for the Highland Boundary Line. Immediately you will be surrounded by lochs, glens and mountains. Our first destination will be Rannoch Moor and Glencoe where you will have the opportunity for a short hike to one of the best viewpoints in the area, and you will be the only people there. Afterwards you may try some outstanding locally sourced and made street food at a great wee spot for a picnic. Then it's up the West coast towards the Great Glen and the world famous Loch Ness. You may wish for a short cruise up the loch or perhaps go off the beaten path to a spectacular waterfall instead. You may wish to feed Highland Cows or explore the beautiful Urquhart Castle. Lots of options for this day. We'll spend the night in Inverness and you'll get the option to eat in a pub that belts out traditional Scottish music.
DAY 2: You'll be collected from your lodgings at 9am for a sobering walk onto Culloden Battlefied. Let us take you through the events of that horrific day and it's aftermath. This can be an emotional experience for some. Afterwards we travel the short distance to Clava Cairns for an entirely different kind of emotional experience. You definitely need your guide here to try to unravel some of the mysteries that surround this evocative site. It'll change you. Relax now and enjoy the long drive south over the Cairngorm Mountains using the endlessly scenic route that was favoured by the whisky smugglers. The route takes us into Royal Deeside with a stop at Braemar before continuing South to your lodgings.
Review
Those two days with Andrew were a true highlight of our time in Scotland. He was funny, witty, charming, engaging, and a great storyteller, we were laughing so hard many times, and he has an evident passion and a love for Scotland. He adjusted what we would see as we talked and he got to know more about us. I can't speak highly enough of Andrew and what he showed us around Scotland. I can't recommend him enough. He was truly an 11/10
