A Bit About Raymond

I am Raymond Wallace - no relation to the William Wallace, but I like to think I’m just as good at leading people through Scotland… I just do it with fewer swords and more seatbelts.

I’ve spent more than 25 years driving buses across Scotland - long enough to know every bend, bump, and sheep crossing on the road. After decades behind the wheel, I moved from public transport to tour buses, and eventually into private guiding, where I’ve spent the last four years doing what I love most: sharing Scotland’s stories, history, scenery, and secrets with travellers… and always whilst having a good laugh.

Before all that, from the age of 17 to 23, I served as a reservist in the Parachute Regiment. Jumping out of planes taught me two things: trust your training, and never look down unless you’re absolutely sure your kilt is secure.

I’m a keen reader with a particular love for Scottish and world history, which means my tours come with plenty of tales - some heroic, some hilarious, and all delivered with enthusiasm. When I’m not guiding, I’m usually off exploring Scotland in my campervan with my wife and our dog, hunting for new hidden gems to share with future guests.

After a lifetime of travelling Scotland’s roads, tracks, and the occasional muddy shortcut, I know this country inside out. Whether you’re after iconic landmarks or the kind of places only locals whisper about, I’m here to make your Scottish adventure unforgettable - and full of laughter.

My goal is always the same: to create memorable, meaningful experiences that help people connect with the real Scotland.
